DID HE RESURRECT?
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is another matter that many non Christians find it difficult to believe.
Mark 9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall KILL HIM; and after that he is killed, he shall RISE the THIRD DAY.
He said again in Luke 18:33 And they shall scourge him, and PUT HIM TO DEATH: and the THIRD DAY HE SHALL RISE AGAIN.
There are many other related scriptures in the Bible talking about Jesus’ resurrection
Jesus told his disciples that he will die but will resurrect on the third day but with all this many still don’t believe Jesus Christ really resurrected especially within the Muslim cycles.
But the Qur’an affirms this claim by the Bible and the Christians.
Qur’an 3 Verse 55:
And when Allah said: O Isa, I am going to TERMINATE THE PERIOD OF YOUR STAY (on earth) and cause you TO ASCEND UNTO ME and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection;…………………..
The verse clearly states that Jesus Christ stay on earth was terminated so he can ascend to God. Ascension here means to go to God alive. Jesus Christ really ascended to heaven with his body not as a spirit.
This confirms what the Bible says in
Mark 16:19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was TAKEN UP INTO HEAVEN and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
And in Luke 24:51
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was PARTED FROM THEM, and CARRIED UP INTO HEAVEN.
Jesus Christ truly went into the grave but on the third day, he resurrected.
Many of the folks who argue about this says that, Judas the betrayer was transformed into the image of Christ and was crucified instead of Jesus.
If this will be true, where did Jesus Christ left to after they crucify “ Judas Iscariot” ?,
who then killed himself in Matthew 27:5
Matthew 27:5 And he( JUDAS ISCARIOT) cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, AND WENT AND HANGED HIMSELF.
People will argue and say, “its a deception of the bible, its never true that he hanged himself”.
After Judas Iscariot returned the money, that money was used to buy a land which is still in existence till today.
Matthew 27
6; And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7; After some discussion they finally decided to buy the potter’s field, and they made it into a cemetery for foreigners.
8; That is why the field is still called the Field of Blood.
9; This fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that says, “They took the thirty pieces of silver— the price at which he was valued by the people of Israel,
10; and purchased the potter’s field, as the Lord directed.”
But there is no account in the Qur’an or in any other book that tells us about Mohammed resurrection.
Nothing of such. If Jesus Christ had the power to lay down his life and take it back again, then his followers have some hope that they can be made alive with him.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are BURIED with him BY BAPTISM into DEATH: that like as CHRIST WAS RAISED UP FROM THE DEAD by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:8 Now if we be DEAD WITH CHRIST, we believe that we shall ALSO LIVE WITH HIM:
So Christians have a promise and hope given to them in the Bible.
You now see that the believe that Jesus Christ didn’t die is a fallacy created to deceive people not to receive salvation.
