THIS IS WHY YOU LIVE IN THE SPIRIT
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
It is amazing how the Bible makes it clear that we are not of this world. Reading through and through the Bible, I find so much as the Holy Spirit shows me and I just can’t keep it to myself.
Think about this scripture for instance: 2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. You see, it is important that you note the tenses in the Bible while studying God’s Word.
The Bible didn’t say “therefore if any man shall be in Christ…” rather, “…if any man is in Christ…” This is so profound, according to the Word of God, I am currently in the place called Christ but we are not talking about just a place – He is a person!
When I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, the Holy Ghost came to dwell in me forever. Now, the Bible is saying that, if so be it that the Spirit of God dwells in me, then, I am in the Spirit!
How then do I live this life in the Spirit? It is simple: Galatians 5:22-23 [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
By walking in the fruits of the re-created human spirit, I am living the undefeatable life in the Spirit! The baseline is this – I live in the Spirit because, I am in Christ and the Holy Ghost dwells in me.
CONFESSION
I am in Christ. I live unto God! My life is for the glory of God!!
