AN AMAZING REALITY
1John.4.4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (NIV)
I love what Jesus said in the gospel according to Saint John chapter fourteen and verse six: John.14.6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (NIV)
No one ever spoken like Jesus. He is the master communicator. The statement He made in John 14:6 is just massive. Think about it, this means the very essence of life revolves around Him. Talking about truth, Jesus said: John.17.17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. (NIV)
Now, having accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit came to dwell in you. So, you came to the Father by accepting Jesus (the Way) as your Lord and Saviour when you believed the Word (Truth), and now you have the life of God (Life). Wow, an amazing reality!!
Now, Jesus made a very startling statement, read: John.16.7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. (AMP) [He is the greater one in you!]
