Scripture: Proverbs 4:20
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
If you want to live a beautiful life, there are things you must do. In the Kingdom of God, things don’t just happen. You will never become great in life because God loves you.
The fact that God loves you does not mean you will triumph in life. The Bible says: Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Though this is true and that’s our reality, it will not reflect in your life because it is in the Bible. It will only reflect in your life because you are a practitioner of the Word.
Our opening scripture charges us to attend to the Word. Another word for attend as used in our opening scripture is hearken which means, “hear-to-do”. That’s where the glory is, the glory is revealed when we do the Word.
But unfortunately many do not even know what God is saying to us today through His Word.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
It is God’s desire that we should live in prosperity even as our souls prospers. All you need to do is practice the Word, stay in the Word. Stay on the Word. The Word will direct you to pray, fast and do every other thing in the Kingdom of God.
Eat the Word by staying in it: studying, pondering, murmuring and talking the Word.
