Scripture: Ephesians 5:18
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
To live a successful Christian life, you must be constantly filled with the Spirit. That’s where the power is, that’s where wisdom is stirred; the more you “drink… drinking His Presence” – the more you become conscious of His Presence with you.
This consciousness alone generates power for a victorious life. But, it is sad that so many Christians do not take time to exercise themselves unto godliness; to allow the Spirit of God to lead them. And the problem is this, you cannot be lead by Him if you are not drunk (filled, conscious) of Him constantly.
He is within you but He is also with you. He can turn you into a success and make you a blessing to your world. All you need to do is to present yourself to Him through prayer and fasting and studying the Word of God.
Someone may ask, if we have the Holy Spirit – why then must we be filled with Him? Well, it is not as if you have a certain Holy Spirit and that you should be filled with another Holy Spirit. It could mean, to grow more and more in your consciousness of Him or increasing in awareness of His Presence within you, with you and upon you as your spiritual senses are sharpened in prayer and in the study of the Word.
He is the same person who works all of these in you. As you spend time in the Word and in prayer, He helps you to become more conscious of your heavenly nature.
As this continuous, you will begin to see as He sees and also begin to walk as a heavenly man. This is where true peace is: without being full of the Spirit; life will not be as sweet as it was meant to be.

Dear Father, thank you for Your Spirit who makes me conscious of my true nature – the nature of righteousness. Sweet Spirit of God, I love you. I am ready to be filled today and every day with you. Thank you Blessed Lord Jesus for making it possible for me to have God dwell in me.
