SAMUEL NASAM

BUILD A GOOD CHARACTER

Phil.4.13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (NKJV)

Your character is very important. The extent to which you are able to navigate through life successfully is dependent on the strength of your character. Without a good character, you might not be able to make progress in life.

Character is the formation of your habits; the things you choose to do and those that you choose not to do – it is the consolidation of your behaviors. When you have a healthy character, the necessary result is that you are going to be healthy but if you have a poor character, the necessary result is that you are going to be weak and feeble.

God wants you to build a good and a strong character that’s why He instructed us to meditate on His Word. This is because, the pathway for the formation of character is the mind. If you can get your mind to hold a good quality and consistently see yourself practicing that quality, it will form your actions and your actions, after you have repeatedly practiced it again and again will form your character.

You must therefore set your mind on high qualities which are consistent with the Word of God. We can find some of these qualities listed for us in: Phil.4.8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things. (NKJV)
