CONTINUE IN PRAYER
Colossians 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
It is very essential that as a child of God you maintain a sound prayer life. Many Christians today are too busy to pray. They seem to have “very important things to do” which do not include prayer. But you see, prayer is too important to be neglected.
Neglecting to spend time in prayer will cost you so much. The reason is because, life is spiritual and except you take control from the realm of the Spirit, you will be disadvantaged in the natural realm. There are many good things that should happen to you that will not happen if you do not continue in prayer.
Prayer is a discipline. Sometimes you will feel tired in your body because of the work you do and so may not be able to spend quality time in prayer. If that is the case, learn to pray while working. Pray silently while you are engaged with whatever work you are doing.
Jesus always prayed, He prayed constantly and He is our perfect example. He gave a parable in Luke 18 to illustrate that we ought always to pray and not faint. No matter what happens, don’t stop praying. As you continue, you will see the fruits of it one day.
