DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST

 

2 Timothy 4:5 “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”

As God’s child, you have the responsibility of bringing people into the kingdom. Jesus gave everyone of us the command to bring people into the knowledge of God.

Matthew 28:18-20 [18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

One of the basic ways you can win a soul is by bringing him to church. Winning a soul means, getting him born again, that is; accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. But it doesn’t end there. Someone accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is just one step in the soul winning business. We are very much concerned about the wholesome growth of the individual. Sometimes, some people may be Christians alright but are not growing. Yes, bring such people to church for them to be taught the sound Word of God and grow thereby.
