DON’T GROW WEARY IN PRAYER – Part Two
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
Continuing from yesterday’s devotional, lets read the sixth and seventh times the servant of Elijah answered him and also look out for Elijah’s responses.
1Kgs.18.43 – Then he said to his young servant, “On your feet now! Look toward the sea.” He went, looked, and reported back, “I don’t see a thing. Keep looking,” said Elijah, “seven times if necessary.”
1Kgs.18.44 – And sure enough, the seventh time he said, “Oh yes, a cloud! But very small, no bigger than someone’s hand, rising out of the sea. then, on your way. Tell Ahab, “Saddle up and get down from the mountain before the rain stops you.'”
Wow, I am excited! Elijah’s answer to his disciple after the sixth report thrills me. He said, “keep looking,… “, “seven times if necessary,” How long have you pressed in prayer? Are you praying in line with the Word of God? If yes, then keep looking out because you are about to see a cloud (the results!)
Always remember that Jesus loves you and that God wants you to prosper. Even if life is not the way you want it to be at this time, don’t worry. There’s a way to change things in the spirit and that way is through prayer! That’s why it reads, “pray without ceasing.”
