1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Lets read a little further from verse 6 to see what David did: 1 Samuel 30:7-8 [7]And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. [8]And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
Amazing! David was conscious of the presence of God with him. He knew God was with Him so, he didn’t have to walk in darkness or confusion. Bible says, “…David enquired at the LORD..” what makes it even more beautiful is that the LORD answered, “Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
To answer yesterday’s question; always be conscious of God’s Presence in you and with you – always be conscious that you are in Him. There will be nothing that will ruffle you if you are conscious that God is with you. Do Acts 6:4
