FOUR AMAZING BLESSINGS IN CHRIST
1Cor.1.30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (KJV)
To be in Christ alone is a great blessing that cannot be compared to any kind of blessing in the world yet there are also beyond description, amazing blessings that we enjoy in Christ.
From our opening scripture, we read; wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Another time, we will dwell on the others and learn more about them but I want us to deal with righteousness in today’s devotional.
Per my interactions with many a people who have been in church and serving God even before I was born – I found out that many of them do not believe that they are righteous. In fact, they think that to say that they are righteous is pride but that’s not true.
Humility is to accept what Jesus did for you and to walk in it.
When you read Romans 5:1, The Bible says therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Again when you read Romans 10:9-10, the verse 10 says
Rom.10.10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. (AMP)
So you see, our righteousness in Christ is not because of the good we have done or the bas we did not do but because of our faith in Jesus
