FUNCTION IN THE NAME OF JESUS – PART 2
Philippians 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”
In our previous devotional, I told you that what I taught you does not mean you should not mention the name or mentioning the name of Jesus is wrong. I am teaching you the most excellent way of communicating the Word of God.
Functioning in the name of Jesus is operating in the power of the Holy Spirit. When for instance you have charged yourself in prayer and through meditating on God’s Word, whatever you do my the Spirit also means functioning in the name of Jesus Christ.
This is why you must draw nigh to God always, you should be close to God always through conscious efforts to pray and meditate on His Word. When you are in tune with the Holy Spirit, you function in the name of Jesus always.
This means, you don’t have to mention the name of Jesus before telling a demon to leave, you can just say, “GO” and that devil will obey you because you are functioning in the name of Jesus Christ.
You don’t have to mention the name of Jesus Christ before sitting on your chair, the moment you are about to sit down, the anointing will be discharged from your spirit to settle on the chair before you sit.
Now, you can understand why they will plan evil against you but they will not succeed, why because you function in the name of Jesus Christ!
