GIVING THANKS UNTO GOD
Psalms 92:1
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
God has been good to us from the beginning of the year till now. Many were the plans of the enemy against us that we should be destroyed by now but God delivered us from all the attacks of darkness and preserved our lives.
In our normal everyday lives, when we do good to a person and we do not receive a message of appreciation – we feel bad about that. We begin to think and to say that such an one is not grateful.
Remember that we are made in the image and likeness of God, to function like God. This basically means that when we refuse to thank God for how far He has brought us, it gives Him a negative impression about us.
If you as a human being expects appreciation, how much more do you think God expects us to thank Him.
It is by God’s mercies that we understand Him. Knowing that God loves you alone is enough to thank Him all your life. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD.
Sing praises, roll on the floor if it’s possible and worship Him. Bow your knees in prayer and worship Him. He is all that we have, He is our beginning and ending.
