Jer.9.24 If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me. I’m GOD, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” GOD’s Decree. [JC] (MSB)
For you to appreciate the verse of scripture used in our opening theme, I will like us to read verse 23 of the same book and the same chapter: Jer.9.23 GOD’s Message: “Don’t let the wise brag of their wisdom. Don’t let heroes brag of their exploits. Don’t let the rich brag of their riches. (MSB)
No man can be wise without receiving his wisdom from God neither can he become a hero without God causing it to happen.
In fact, there’s nothing that a man has that he didn’t receive from God. In as much as it is important for us to walk in wisdom, in riches and in power, God did not give us an occasion to brag about such things.
One thing and one thing only did God give us the gat to brag about and that’s: “If you brag, brag of this and this only: That you understand and know me.
I’m GOD, and I act in loyal love. I do what’s right and set things right and fair, and delight in those who do the same things. These are my trademarks.” GOD’s Decree.”
This means that God wants to be sought. I tell you, press into God! Refuse to be average. Stay with God in your closet, stay with God.
