HE GIVES MORE GRACE TO THE HUMBLE – PART ONE
James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Have you ever wondered what it means to be proud? When I was growing up as a child, I was taught never be proud but to remain humble.
I wondered oftentimes what it meant when they mentioned that word “proud.” There were even times I asked some few people who I considered senior to me in the things of God whether I was proud or not.
One time I asked a senior colleague whom I have been with for a while whether I was proud and he said no.
I was usually concerned about being “proud” and “humble“ because I always saw myself doing big things for God. I didn’t know whether my passion for God to take the whole world for Him was pride or not.
I was concerned whether my desire to be so rich and prosperous was pride but I found out from God’s Word that He(God) wants me to be prosperous than I can ever imagine.
As I continued to search about what it meant to be proud, the Holy Spirit helped me and made it very simple for me to understand.
What He taught was this; if any man rejects the wisdom of God(the Word of God) and refuses to come to God and makes the decision not to heed to the Word, such an one is a proud man.

I am humble and this is because, my inspiration comes from God. I will not allow pride to grow in my heart. The Holy Spirit is in me, I refuse to be proud.
