SAMUEL NASAM
HOW TO BE STRONG – PART 1.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Notice that from our opening verse the Bible didn’t say we should pray for God to make us strong in the Lord rather it says, “…be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.”
This means that it is your responsibility to making yourself strong in the Lord. For instance, when we consider Proverbs chapter twenty-four verse five, we understand even more clearly that we have a major role to play in increasing our strength and it is by increasing in knowledge: Proverbs 24:5 “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.”
Knowledge comes by learning and God does not learn for people, you learn for yourself.
We see how this relates to Hosea chapter four verse six: Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:..” God is good! The point is, if He knew His people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge, why don’t He just pour knowledge into everyone to solve the problem? This can be a very stupid question depending on the posture of your heart.
One can be asking such a question sincerely to know the answer but another can be asking to satisfy his stupidity because He thinks God doesn’t know what He is doing.
God created man a free moral agent. Man was created to have his own will, to be able to make a choice and this is the most powerful weapon in a man’s hand.
CONFESSION
I refuse to be weak, I will not faint! I am getting stronger by the day!
