HOW TO EXCEL IN ALL THINGS
Proverbs 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
Men are limited in themselves. Every man has a limitation, a weakness. No matter how far a man rises, he cannot excel without the leading of the Spirit of God.
The Bible shows us in the book of Romans: Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
You cannot see the Spirit with your optical eyes and you may not even be able to discern His dealings in your heart until the Word of God saturates your heart.
Without the wisdom of God, a man will always end up in a ditch. God does not want you to be destroyed, He loves you! He said in His Word: 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
From our opening scripture, God is revealing to us how much He loves us. He said, “My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.” The word “heart” as used in the scripture above also means mind. He basically wants us to intentionally fix our minds on His Word.
If you do, the results will be clear – you will make your way prosperous and you will have good success: Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
