HOW TO HELP THE POOR – Part 2
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Yesterday, we learnt that poverty is not good. When you search in the Bible, God never encouraged anyone to be poor. Always, and consistently – God spoke about success, prosperity and riches. It is just beautiful.
Now, in helping the poor, with those whose minds are not transformed – the best thing you can do is to work on their minds. It does not matter what you give to a poor mind, it will reduce it to it’s state.
So, you must first work on the mind and I must tell you that it takes time but that’s the surest way out.
If you meet people who are poor because they lack material things or money but they have the ability to use their minds to be productive, give them money or any resource they will require to improve their lives.
Actually, these sect of people are not poor in a sense. All they need is a little push. When you meet people in life who need a little push to be great, help them.
Now, some people are grateful but others are not. It is nearly impossible to help an ungrateful person and I personally believe that God cannot help ungrateful people. Lets take part three tomorrow!
