1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
There are things God is not mandated to do on your behalf. Understand that God cannot eat for you. Your spiritual growth is your responsibility not Gods. His Word makes it clear here – “…, desire …” There’s no amount of prayer to God that will make you grow spiritually without you feeding on His Word. Meanwhile, understand that your prayer life is a revelation of your Word life. You cannot pray beyond your revelation from God’s Word.
Crave the Word of God on daily basis. Seek help from your pastor or shepherd on how to go about your Bible study and he will help you through. By all means, you must consciously, persistently and patiently pursue God to know Him by giving yourself to His Word.
Your growth comes from feeding on the Word combined with prayer including fastings. You must do everything within your power to stay in that perpetual state of continually being hungry for more of His Word.
