Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
How to let your light shine: First of all, the Bible shows us from Zachariah;
Zechariah 4:6 “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Until you depend absolutely on the Holy Spirit, you cannot be able to effect the kind of changes you are expected by God to effect; you will not be able to make impact in the realm of the spirit. The reason Jesus Christ was able to do and to carry out his assignment on earth was because He depended totally on the Holy Spirit.
Letting your light shine here means that carrying out the work of the Spirit within you. The Bible shows us that it is He(God) who works in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure. To be able therefore to have the courage, the tenacity and the ability to do what God has assigned you to do, you must depend on the Spirit always.
How do you do this? No matter what happens, continually give yourself to prayer, and to the ministry of the Word. (Acts 6:4) when you do this, nothing will be able to stop your progress and nothing will be able to stop you from shining.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank you for the revelation of your Word in my heart. As I help me through your Precious Holy Spirit to shine so brightly; doing those things that you want me to do. Amen
