LIVE UP TO GOD’S DREAM
1Pet.3.10 For the Scriptures say, “If you want a happy life and good days, keep your tongue from speaking evil, and keep your lips from telling lies. (NLT)
I want us to consider the above scripture from the Amplified Translation, there’s something I want you to see:
1Pet.3.10 For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good – whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit). (AMP)
I found out that apparently, everyone in this world who is in his right mind wants to enjoy life.
Sometimes, poverty can make someone think that he is not supposed to enjoy life. And by the way, enjoying life does not mean the absence of challenges but that even in the midst of challenges, you still walk in victory.
If God is teaching me how to enjoy life if I want to, it must mean that it is a good thing.
I want you to also understand that there’s the place of suffering for the sake of Christ! There are times you will have to make certain decisions which will result in you going through a painful experience for Christ’s sake.
As it stands now, many Christians are being killed daily because of their faith; because they decided to believe Jesus.
My mother, who was a Muslim was nearly killed after she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Saviour. So you may go through some “struggles” for the sake of the furtherance of the gospel, I want you to know that nothing is wrong with you suffering for Jesus to seen.
