LOVE NOT THE WORLD

The Passion Translation 1 John 2:15;  ‘Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible.

You must constantly set your heart on Jesus. How? By focusing on the Word of God. From the gospel according to Saint John 1:1-5 the Bible says:

[1]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2]The same was in the beginning with God. [3]All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4]In him was life; and the life was the light of men. [5]And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Set your affections rather on the Word, that is, on Jesus. Abide in His Word. Be stable in the Word. Don’t live an anyhow life. Your life should be defined by the Word of God. This world and everything in it will pass away but the Word of God will never pass away. The Word is your source and you must constantly keep yourself connected to your source.

Love not the world. Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” God loves you. Live for Him. Be mindful of your life. You cannot live how you want, you must live your life how He wants!
