PATTERN OF GOOD WORKS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONEY IS NECESSARY
Matt.17.27 – Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
Lets read the beginning of this passage to get the whole picture:
Matt.17.24 On their arrival in Capernaum, the tax collectors for the Temple tax came to Peter and asked him, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the Temple tax?” (NLT) Matt.17.25
“Of course he does,” Peter replied. Then he went into the house to talk to Jesus about it. But before he had a chance to speak, Jesus asked him, “What do you think, Peter? Do kings tax their own people or the foreigners they have conquered?” (NLT)
Matt.17.26 “They tax the foreigners,” Peter replied. “Well, then,” Jesus said, “the citizens are free! (NLT)
Some people believe in miracle money but some people do not, in this devotional however – I am not teaching about miracle money and how possible it is for one to get money through supernatural means.
I am in this devotional intending to draw your attention to the fact that Jesus needed to use money while he lived on earth here!
If the best option Jesus had in the passage above was to make money available in order to use it, how important do you think money must be?
I think it must be very important! If God needed to use money, then it must really be necessary to have money. God wants you rich, so, stay in His Word and live by it.
