2Cor.5.14 For the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died; (AMP)
Jesus Christ died for all, now, we are free from the bondage of sin – we are no longer children of the devil. I want us to read the next verse:
2Cor.5.15 And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake. (AMP)
Now, we are children of God because of our faith in Jesus Christ. He took our place on that cross and died for our sins and now we are the products of the redemption that His blood serves. Since we are of God, we are therefore to live for Him who died and was raised again for our sake – Jesus Christ.
You see, this world is empty and full of corruption. Our world is not earthly, that’s why the Bible tells us to fix our sights on things above (our world -Zion). To live prosperously in this life is to live for Jesus Christ.
