OPERATING IN THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
1Corinthians 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
The Word of God is so important! You must go for the Word. Spiritual gifts are inherent in the Holy Spirit and it is He that gives them according to His will. The purpose of the gifts of the Spirit is to edify the church, it is not for selfish gains.
1 Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
There are those in life who are never content with what they have, they make life so difficult for themselves. The Bible says that godliness with contentment is great gain! No child of God is lacking at least one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Every child of God has at least one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Yours is to discover what God has given to you and flow in it. No one gift is too important than the other. The gift of prophesy is not important than the gifts of healing neither is the gifts of healing important than the gift of interpretation of tongues.
All the gifts of the Spirit are important and whichever gift the Lord blesses you with, you have the responsibility to working on it until you become an expert in it. This way, the Lord will increase your abilities in the Spirit to do more.
To discover your gift, just keep your fellowship with the Holy Spirit intact. Keep spending time with the Lord in prayer and in the ministry of the Word.
You will keep seeing yourself in your mind’s eyes – you will keep seeing yourself operating in a certain way. You will know it in your heart because you will love that gift.
