Proverbs 20:4
The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
One good synonym we can use for sluggard is work-shy. It means to be indolent; to be disinclined to work.
Many Christians have become lazy and foolish because they would not pay attention to the Word of God. The gentleman asked his pastor, must I work? Off course, you must work! The Bible says, the labour (work) of the righteous tends to life. You must do something, you must be productive in this life.
This is especially for the youth. You have to find something doing.
Pray to God, wait in the place of prayer and the Holy Spirit will direct you on what to do. If you do not work, you will be poor and you will live your life begging to eat which should not be mentioned of you as God’s own.
Don’t shy away from work. You have to work, work is God’s idea. He worked. We are to imitate Him. If
He works, we too must learn to do business with our minds and out hands. From today, make up your mind to be productive in whatever you do.
