PROSPERITY IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
If poverty and lack were to be the best for God’s children, He definitely would have wanted everyone of His child to be very poor and broke, having nothing to eat, nowhere to sleep and worst of all begging!
Poverty was never God’s idea. Have you ever taken your time to read the account of creation in the book of Genesis and examined God’s thoughts? Have you really taken time to think about Adam and what kind of life God planned that he should live? If you haven’t, make sure to do it otherwise you may join these negative people who are always against prosperity as though prosperity is hell!
Take a moment to think about why certain people including even some pastors preach against prosperity. Isn’t it perplexing? Why would you preach against something God in His own wisdom expressed through Apostle Paul: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Why is prosperity to my own advantage? Simple, God wants us to spread the gospel everywhere and it is through prosperity that His cities shall spread abroad: Zechariah 1:17 “Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.”
