SALVATION IS GOD’S GIFT
Eph.2.8 For it is by free grace (God ‘s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ ‘s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; (AMP)
Salvation is free and it is found only in Christ. There were times I used to wonder, so, all these unbelievers – are they all going to hell? Every time, the answer comes to me and it, yes! I think to myself, ha, this is terrible.
One day, we went into a certain community to preach the gospel and I entered into a certain house. I met this old woman and her grand daughter.
I started to preach (there was someone to interpret what I was saying into the language this wonderful old woman would understand) and as I preached, I mentioned of the amazing and abundant life we have in Christ and how that if she accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ she will become a new creation.
I also spoke of heaven and hell but this old woman jerked up and said, no no no, “we are too beautiful to go hell.” Well, I used to think like that too, I used to think some people are just too nice to go to hell but that’s a foolish thought anyway.
Until a man accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, he is already condemned to eternal destruction.
But we want the whole world to know that salvation is free and it is found only in Christ. To enjoy your salvation, you must do the Word! You must practice the Word, walk in love.
