SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD – Part 1
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
God knows that you want to live a prosperous and healthy life. He actually didn’t expect you not to like that kind of life. He created you and it was His doing that you have the ability to make choices in life.
God Himself likes good things, He likes beautiful things, so, He is not preventing you from having them but He is showing you the only way to having them and yet not losing your value in the Kingdom of God.
How did I know that God likes good and beautiful things? Because of what the Bible tells me in Genesis 1:1-31, lets have a look at some few verses: Genesis 1:16-18 [16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. [17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
My emphasis in the scripture above is, “…God saw that it was good.” The Hebrew word from which we have the English word “good” as translated in the scripture above encompasses several words, examples: pleasant, prosperity, glad, fine, wealth, precious, well etc. Thus, God truly wants you to get anything you want in this life but it depends on whether you will reason with Him.
