SHARPEN YOURSELF WITH THE APOSTLE – PART ONE
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
It will interest you to know that you are born of the Word. Which means, you literally came from the Word. Knowing that the Word of God is your Source and that how far you go in this Kingdom is dependent on your knowledge of God’s Word will propel you to dig deeper and get to know God more and more through His Word.
Among other scriptures, these are two scriptures that shows us that we are born of the Word:
1Pet.1.23 For you have been born again. Your new life did not come from your earthly parents because the life they gave you will end in death. But this new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. (NLT)
Jas.1.18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. (NIV)
