Psalms 33:3
Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Music originated from God. Sounds, sound codes came from God; He is the author of sounds and songs. That’s why He calls for it; He loves it when we spend time with Him in worship and in praise, making sounds and melodies from our spirits, with our voices and with musical instruments.
Listen only to songs that bring glory and honour to Jesus Christ. The devil is using his children to diffuse evil into the hearts of men through music. Don’t give your heart to any sound or songs that does not glorify Jesus Christ.
How to know whether a song glorifies Jesus Christ;
1. Source of inspiration: here, we are looking at who sung that song or produced that sound and what’s the source of his inspiration.
2. The code or meaning of the song: following the source of inspiration, it must fit into the finished work of Christ and directed towards praising and worshiping God, revealing our identity in Christ, showing us our responsibilities in Christ. Inspiring and motivating us to continually walk with Jesus Christ.
