THE HELP OF THE SPIRIT
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
The Holy Spirit is our helper. He helps us in all things, He has always been within us since we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. He will abide with us till the end of the age.
When you set out to pray, it is the Holy Spirit that helps you pray in accordance with the will of God for your life.
This is one of the reasons we must fellowship constantly with Him by meditating on the Word of God daily, singing and making melody in our hearts, and by praying.
Well, many times, we do not even know what to pray for. We usually do not have an idea about what’s happening or the cause of a particular situation. And we usually do not know how to go about our prayers.
But the moment we start praying in the Spirit (in the Word of God and or in tongues), the Holy Spirit chooses the right words for us. Our utterances then become holy and acceptable to God as holy and fitting into His will for our lives.
Now then, you must know the Word in order to pray fervently in the Spirit. You must feed yourself strongly with the Word. Without knowledge of God’s Word, you may pray and pray and not produce results.
Let the Holy Spirit help you by forcing yourself to study the Word and staying in prayer!
