1 John 5:12
[12]He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life
Humans are humans because of the human nature. Angels are angels because of their nature. Plants are plants because of the plant nature. When we talk about God, He is Who He is because of His nature.
Now, the nature of an entity is defined by its life. And the life of a thing determines its possibilities. For instance, a cat cannot talk like a human because of its nature, its life does not have the possibility of communicating using words.
Beautiful, God is life, because we read Jesus say, “…, I am the life…” We understand from the Word of God that He is the Most High. This means, no other word(words) could describe how high or mighty He is. He is so high that the only way to put it is MOST HIGH. Amazingly that’s not too much, at least we believe that because He is God, it is not too much to describe Him as Most High.
The amazing thing is that, you have the very life of the Most High! Ahhhhh! This is thrilling. Think about it, that you have the very life that makes God who He is. What do you think you are? If you are His child, it must mean that you have His very life. This life cannot be defeated, that’s why you cannot be defeated by anything. Shout amen!
