THE POWER AT WORK IN YOU – PART 1
Ephesians 3.20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (NIV)
When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit came and settled in your heart. He will be with you and in you forever.
The Holy Spirit is a person. He is not fire, or water or dove or oil. He is not air or wind. He is a person. A real person who is in you and with you.
I want you to mark the words of Jesus in this verse: John.16.7 “However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” (AMP)
Notice Jesus used the pronoun, “HE” to refer to the Holy Spirit in His communication. In His operations(the Holy Spirit), he manifested Himself in different forms. For instance, He defended on Jesus LIKE a dove. The Bible didn’t say the Holy Spirit is a dove but that He defended like a dove on Jesus.
Matt.3.16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. (NIV) Did you just read that?
