THE PROFIT OF LAZINESS
Proverbs 20:4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.
As God’s child, you must work hard. Don’t run from hard work, don’t be a sluggard. There’s nothing good about laziness: being lazy is very costly. You must understand that life is not a game and in fact if it were a game, you must play by the set of principles governing the game.
Work is very essential for your total well being. A man that will not work hard cannot enjoy true freedom.
The profit of laziness is slavery! When you are lazy, you are programming yourself for slavery. You could either become a slave of the circumstances of life, to wicked people or to the systems of this world.
God wants us to enjoy prosperity and health. He wants us to live right and enjoy all the good things He blessed us with in Christ. We are not of this world, we are new creatures in Christ Jesus: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The Word shows us emphatically that God wants us to make our way prosperous and to have good success. You must work hard by relying on the help of the Spirit to make your life beautiful.
