THE RIGHTEOUS MAN
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
From our theme scripture, the first sentence, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed” does not mean you should go about sharing your personal faults to everyone. It means after you have wronged someone, you should be quick to say you are sorry.
For instance, if you step on someone’s toes, you should quickly confess your fault (apologize to that person and let him forgive you). I want us to focus on the second (or b) sentence in our opening scripture.
Lets take it from the Amplified translation: Jas.5.16 “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” (AMP)
You must first of all understand that you are righteous in Christ Jesus to have a better understanding of this kind of prayer.
Many Christians are unable to pray and to get results from their prayers because of how they think. If you think you are righteous, you will pray righteously and expect answers but if you think you are not righteous, you may not even have the boldness to command circumstances to work together for your good.
You are righteous in Christ Jesus, go ahead and make power available by praying fervently!
