THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS OF GOD IS BY FAITH
Philippians 3:9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
The Word of God shows us that we are righteous in Christ Jesus. This is our new self. we have the nature of righteousness not because of the “righteous” things we do or will do but because of our faith in Christ Jesus.
Often, the devil wants to keep people in bondage by getting them to think and accept that they are sinners. The mindset or mentality that you are a sinner alone limits you and deprives you of so many precious blessings in Christ. Though it is not pleasant to hear, you are just being foolish to argue with God; God said you are righteous but you are saying otherwise. You see, people who do not align to God’s Word are not wise at all. Choose to become wise by accepting what God has said about you.
Just as all sinned because of the disobedience of the first Adam, the second and the last Adam(Christ) has qualified us and by His sacrifice on the Cross, God declared us not guilty! God declared us righteous. Don’t go praying that God should make you righteous, that a wrong prayer. Rather, pray and thank God for giving you the nature of righteousness. You are righteous only because of your faith in Jesus Christ; that alone was sufficient enough and it is the only requirement to receiving the gift of righteousness.
