SAMUEL NASAM

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK

Prov.29.20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a [self-confident] fool than for him. (AMP)

The message translation also renders our opening scripture in an excellent manner. Let’s look at it: Prov.29.20 “Observe the people who always talk before they think—even simpletons are better off than they are.” (MSB)

In your communication with people You have to be extremely careful with your words. Words have potent creation abilities and cannot understand that they came out from your mouth as jokes, serious or mistake. Any word you speak especially in your communication with another person goes right into his soul. Words are able to create whatever feelings consistent with their essence.

Much more than this, your words decide the direction of your life. If you speak death, everything about you will die including yourself. If you speak poverty, you will be trapped by your own words to live in poverty. I love what the Bible says. It says, you will have to live with the consequences of everything that you say. (Proverbs 18:18-21)

Learn to control your tongue. I read something many years ago, whenever you open your mouth to speak – you tell the world who you are. The character of your words is exactly the character of your personality. What are you know for?
