WHEN YOU ARE BORN AGAIN
John.3.6 What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. (AMP)
When you are born again, it is not a physical experience but a spiritual one. And it is very important to know Who you are born of. According to the scriptures, we understand that God is a Spirit:
John.4.24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). (AMP)
Considering our opening verse, you will realize that there’s a physical birth and a spiritual one. The physical one has to do with natural (human-kind of birth) and the spiritual has to do with spiritual (the God-kind of birth). Yours is not to wonder how possible it is for God to give birth, yours is to believe what the Word of God says. The human mind cannot go over it but your heart can believe it.
So now, you are born again (which means, you are reborn spiritually after you were born physically by your human parents). This simply implies that your new and eternal parent is God! Hallelujah! When you are born again, nothing changes immediately from the outside or on your natural body. The born again experience is spiritual – where your old self passed away and your new self came from God.
Your thinking will not suddenly change; you will have to study the Word of God to reprogram your thinking in line with God’s Word.
