1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Someone may ask, what’s the relationship between our opening scripture and our theme today? It is a good question! The relationship is clear yet it is closed. The thing is, the Christian life is lived inside out; as within so without. This is how it is supposed to be!
Even though it is supposed to be this way; to manifest on the outside what/who you are inside, some people are unable to do that because they were or are taught wrongly.
Many people are not accustomed to their reality in Christ and this is causing them to live in a way that is not in sync with our heavenly culture.
The key clause we are looking at in our opening scripture is, “… be thou an example of the believers…”
After Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit mentioned, “in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” he didn’t say that was all. You must understand that the Bible is very specific in it’s communication.
Therefore, even though appearance was not mentioned in our opening scripture, it is not exempted. You must be an example of the believers in all things!
You must therefore dress well as a child of God. Don’t say, “God knows the heart” and go about wearing clothes that reveals your nakedness. Be wise.
