WORK ON YOUR PHYSICAL HEALTH

1 Timothy 4:8

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

 

In as much as we have to continually exercise ourselves spiritually by praying and fasting and studying God’s Word – we have to equally take good care of our natural bodies. I will like us to read our opening scripture from the amplified translation:

1Tim.4.8 For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come. (AMP)

 

Even though the emphasis is on spiritual training, we don’t have to neglect the value of physical training. Start doing some physical exercises if you have not been doing. Do that especially in the morning after you wake up from sleep and brushed your teeth. Do some jugging, take some walk. Engage your body in exercises that will improve the functioning of your body systems. If you don’t know how to go about it, ask someone who knows.
