YOU ARE A DIRECT OFFSPRING OF GOD
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
It matters that you know your identity in Christ. Identity is very important, how you see yourself greatly influence the decisions you make about your life and about your city.
For instance, if you know that you are the King of a certain kingdom, you will think that it is necessary for you to plan for your life and to give your people the best of life.
You will also make special decisions and you will not be afraid of what anyone would think about you especially when you are taking the right steps about your personal life and for your people.
As a child of God, in fact, just think about it. Think about the fact that you are a child of God!! This is powerful, understand this, to be a child of God is not a light matter. What this means is that God is your Father! Now, as a child of God, there are codes of ethics as to how to live – check them out in the Bible.
You being a direct offspring of God, because you are born again (by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour) – the Bible says you have overcome the forces of life. So, you face life with the consciousness of a victor! When they ask you, “how is life treating you”? Your response must be, “Prosperously.” Life treats me prosperously because to me, life is a Person – Christ!
