SAMUEL NASAM
YOU ARE FREE FROM SIN
Rom.6.18 And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose, and action). (AMP)
You are free from sin! You must learn to accept what the Bible says irrespective of your experiences. The fact that you find yourself struggling with something does not mean you are necessarily supposed to be struggling with it.
If you have ever been in school, you will understand what I am about to say better. When there’s an exam, there are those who are afraid and there are those who are ready to go for the exam. After the exam, some will say, “it was difficult, I could not do it” but for some – “it was great, I am expecting an A.”
It is not too different from living the Christian life. Some people think we have to struggle with sin while others know from the Word of God that we are free from sin. To be free from sin does not mean that you may not commit sins.
What it means is that, you have power over it and that it should not control you. Even so, if you commit sins, it doesn’t mean that you are not free from sin. The problem is you don’t really believe the Word of God.
The Word of God says you have been set free from sin, just believe it. Whether you commit sin or not, you are free from sin!
Now, you are alive unto God and you are righteous in Christ Jesus. You can therefore live above sin by continually feeding yourself with the Word and spending time with God in prayer. Always come to God even if you sin.
