YOUR DESIRE TO LIVE A GREAT LIFE IS NOT A SIN
Gen.12.2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. (AMP)
God is the author of greatness. He is the foundation upon which greatness is built upon. He is the beginning of greatness and the ending of greatness. No man can become so great that it will trouble Him. I have always wanted to be great and nothing in this world can stop me. Already, I am great and I am doing great things. By the grace of God, God has given me some people to infuse greatness in them and so far it is great, hahaha, I love this.
From our opening verse, you will be able to deduce that God loves greatness. He willingly told Abram whose name was later changed to Abraham by this same God all because of the good plans He had towards Abraham and for the whole world. He blessed Abraham with abundance until his blessings affected everyone around him and transcended to generations.
In fact, God made Abraham rich, no wonder – I have always wanted to live a rich life: Gen.13.2 Now Abram was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold. (AMP) Take notice of the adjective there, the word is “extremely – rich.” The amazing thing was that, Abraham was still able to serve God upon all the riches. This also reveals that Abraham was a just man. A man who had great reverence for God, he was very obedient onto the commands of God.
