
Ghanaian award-winning gospel musician, Nana Yaw Boakye, takes time to expanciate on how some people finds it difficult appreciating gospel musicians.
The “Yesu” hitmaker tried not to make it a general issue but stated it was some places not all.
Gospel musician, MOGMusic has revealed that a church once paid him meat pie and Ghs 20.00 for performing in their Church.
In an interview, Nana Yaw Boakye known as MOGMusic, narrated what he went through in a Cape Coast based church

But the songwriter also stated that this phenomenon of low payments which is a reflection of how disrespectful people are towards the art of gospel musicians is not practiced everywhere. He admitted that some churches actually pays beyond expectation.
He said, “I don’t expect that the way church A treats me when I go to church B they should treat me the same way,”
He added, “Because probably their finance may be different, what they are making is different or they might be in crises. It will be unfair to put the whole church in one box”
He also said, “There was a time I drove to a church in Cape Coast, I won’t mention the name of the church. They gave me a bottle of water, small wine, two meat pies and GH¢20,”
He however added, “I have been to a place where the pastor decided to bless me and my team with fifteen thousand cedis.”
The 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Male Vocalist of The Year also added, “It will be unfair to put the whole church in one box”
