NEW MUSIC FROM 2022 STELLAR YOUTH PROJECT OF THE YEAR NOMINEEE RODNEY ILER, “YES FOREVER“
Hebrews 13:5 promises that God will never leave or forsake us which is good news. But sometimes the weight of day-to-day life can be a lot to bear which makes it easy for us as human beings not to make that same commitment to God.
Instead, we don’t trust or doubt him, and sometimes even walk away from him. But I wrote this song as my promise to God, that just as he said he’d never leave nor forsake me, I won’t ever leave nor forsake him.
Now it’s an anthem that I can use as a daily reminder to always say yes to Jesus despite what situations I may face through this journey we call life!
Rodney Iler, born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in McDonough, Georgia, is 20- year-old man of God whose journey in gospel music has already made a significant impact.
Known for his prolific songwriting, excellence in leading worship, and professional skills in graphic design, Rodney has achieved numerous goals and founded multiple businesses and organizations. He has taken a huge leap of faith to pursue his career as a gospel artist and worship leader.
Rodney’s career in gospel music took a significant step forward in August 2021 with the release of his debut project, “Secrets. “This project marked his entry into the gospel music scene and earned him a Youth Project of the Year nomination at the 2022 Gospel Stellar Awards.
In January 2024, Rodney recorded his sophomore project live in Atlanta, GA. This project further solidified his presence in the gospel music community. In July 2024, he released the project ’s title track, “Yes Forever,” a powerful anthem with a message of committing one’s heart to God for real and forever.
While pursuing his music career, Rodney is also a Georgia State University sophomore majoring in Early Childhood Education. His college journey began at Clark Atlanta University, where he quickly realized that his purpose extended beyond academics.
Rodney’s audition for the Clark Atlanta Philharmonic Society Choir became a profound encounter with God, going viral on social media and inspiring over 40,000 people worldwide.
This experience catalyzed the launch of the Great Exchange
Worship Collective @theAUC, a group of singers and worshippers from various colleges dedicated to using their creative gifts to glorify Jesus.
Outside of his ministry and business endeavors, Rodney enjoys cooking, watching movies, and spending quality time with his loved ones. He stays humble and grounded by speaking words of affirmation over his life and remaining a student at heart, continually seeking to grow and learn.
Rodney Iler’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of faith and music. As he continues to inspire and uplift through his work, Rodney remains focused on his vision to bring people closer to Jesus through his creative gifts. With plans for new projects and ongoing ministry efforts, Rodney is poised to reach even greater heights, touching lives and spreading the gospel far and wide.
