Sensational Shade Oshoba recently released a new single titled “Ninu Irin Ajo Mi” (As I journey through the Land), a Yoruba hymns written and composed by R.H. Cornelius in 1916.

The Apala gospel diva and Product of Grace Crooner whose passion has always geared towards restoration of hope, healings to the broken hearted and deliverance through soul lifting songs has once again challenged the Christian community to restore the spiritual relevance of Hymns.

“Hymns are not like every other songs we sing. They are spiritual songs that minister to the spirit, soul and body. It is so alarming that many Churches whose foundation is built on hymns now see it as old fashioned and archaic. I believe the Holy Spirit inspired this song to draw our attentions back to God and to sensitize the Christian community to go back the way of Hymns in order to restore its spiritual relevance.” She said.

She added, “I have witness the wonder-working power of God in hymns, I have seen the sick healed after singing hymns, I have seen hope of the hopeless restored under the ministration of hymns, I have seen deliverance and breakthrough come cheaply in the atmosphere of hymns. So, I believe so strongly in the power of hymns and I am given to hymns now. I want to be a voice of restoration, I want to be a worthy ambassador of Hymns and I want God to continue to use me for his glory“.

The winner of the Applause Achievers’ Awards who has being privileged to perform on stage with top Nigerian artistes like Nathaniel Bassey, Mike Abdul, Tope Alabi and Frank Edward, is also an actor with special features in Mount Zion Films and other Christian drama groups. She has worked with other private films producers on several film projects and recently stared along Dstv Ambassador, Eliel Otote in a soon to be released film “So long a Night”.

Shade Oshoba is currently the presenter of “African Gospel Mix” on RTM, a South African gospel satellite television of the Redeemed Christian Church of God located in Randburg, South Africa and “Hymns in Worship” which is expected to hit the air waves of television stations in Nigeria soon.

She is a lover of God and her cliche “praise is all I do” has made her the delight of gospel music lovers and she is being sought after for glory-filled performance in churches, wedding ceremonies, parties, events and concerts.

She is married to Paul Oshoba, a television producer, film director, social media consultant and a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. They are blessed with children.
