Six types of people who hear the word of God (Matthew 13:18-23)
1. Those who hear the word of God, and do not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is, those who received seed by the wayside.
2. Those who hear the word and immediately receive it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. When tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. This is, those who received the seed on stony places.
3. Those who hear the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and they become unfruitful. This is, those who received seed among the thorns.
4.Those who receive seed on the good ground are those who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces a hundredfold.
5. But some people bear fruit only sixty fold.
6. And some people bear fruit only thirty fold.
Let us judge ourselves by what fruit comes out of us and how much we produce.
