Tamale Mayor Cleans The Metropolis.
The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale Hon. Sule Salifu embarked on clean- up exercise in the Metropolis on Saturday, January 28, 2023. The exercise took place within the Central Business District (CBD) in the metropolis.
The clean up exercise began at the Taxi Rank which saw many volunteers from all walks of life supporting this worthy course.
In a media address, Hon. Sule stated that it’s the responsibility for all of us to take sanitation seriously and to avoid dumping off rubbish anyhow in and around our surroundings.
He pleaded to the leadership of Zoomlion to continue their good works in the city and also promised to support them with the necessary equipment to help them facilitie their task.
The public Relations officer of Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Amadu Mustaph Zakari , commended the mayor and the leadership of the various institutions and agencies for this move.
Mr. Mustaph urged the traders in the market to always clean their places before and after their daily activities in order to maintain serenity and cleanness, as the saying goes ‘cleanness is next to Godliness ‘ .
Institutions and Agencies spotted by to support the exercise were the Zoomlion Gh, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
