THE BIBLICAL STANDPOINT RESTITUTION

THE BIBLICAL STANDPOINT RESTITUTION 1

The subject of restitution is a controversial one.

The farther we go about getting it right the more separation it brings to the body and anything that divides the body, no matter how meaningful it is, is still useless.

The ultimate goal of every subject matter is to bring us closer to God and farther from the world but when a topic begins to bring us closer to the world and farther from God its all essence had become useless.

Some meaningful topics as of today are producing unprofitable fruits among us because of the approach, way and manner it is being handled by teachers and spiritual leaders.

One of such dilemmas is the way and act in which restitution is being handled.

Restitution is not a business between man and God. It is a business between man and man hence, the forgiveness of any man does not come from restitution.

Whether we restitute or not, when God has forgiven he has truly forgiven.

God is not a partial person, he does not give an uneasy yoke to one and give an easy yoke to another.

He does not give a light burden to one and give a heavy burden to another.

What will a fornicator restitute?
What will a person with a child outside wedlock restitute?
What will an aborter restitute?

Obviously, NOTHING!
Nothing can quantify!

Does that mean all these persons won’t be forgiven?

Obviously, NO.

That is why if restitution is to be between God and man, many now called saints will not be saved!

We are imperfect o
Very dirty in the beginning
Our past is dirty!

How many lives will Paul bring back to life after many slaughtering?

Yet he said I owe no man.

Why?

Christ paid the bills
He paid it in full

Whether we restitute or not
We are saved
We will make heaven
We are at peace with God
We are saved!

What will happen to the woman caught in an adulterous act if forgiveness is based on restitution?

What will be the lot of a fornicator
Where will a notorious armed robber start from?
What will a cultist do?

Again I echo it from Zion restitution does not justify redemption.

If you did not restitute it will not hamper your forgiveness by God and God is the ultimate.

When God forgives
He forgives freely
Salvation is a gift.

But then, is restitution a sin?
Noooooo

Restitution is between you and man
Man is not God
They don’t know how to forgive freely.

They want you to restitute
They want you to openly confess
They want you to return what you stole
They want you to openly admit what you did.

They want you to say sorry.

That was what Zaccheus did in Luke 19
Jesus did not have an issue with him
But men have.

To satisfy the anger of men
He has to restitute what he can restitute
Jesus did not condemn it
Hence, it is not a sin.

However, Paul did not restitute
Jesus did not condemn it
Hence, it is not a sin.

Hence whatever you have the power to restitute for the sake of men, restitute.

Whatever you can not, leave it. God is not angry with you.
Forgive yourself
God has forgiven you.

Men will talk
Leave them
With time, they will realise.
